I studied molecular biology in Göttingen and Heidelberg, during which I became interested in understanding complex biological phenomena using maths and machine learning methods. My PhD research focuses on inferring gene regulatory networks informed by population genetics and genetic perturbations data. Outside of work, I enjoy playing the violin and occasionally going on a run.
