Elyas Heidari | PhD candidate
Elyas Heidari is a PhD student specializing in AI in Oncology at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. He holds a Master’s degree from ETH Zurich, where he earned the ETH Medal for his outstanding Master’s thesis in Biological Science and Systems Engineering. Elyas has interned at EMBL-EBI, focusing on spatial omics and computational genomics. He has developed several packages for biomedical data science and machine learning, including MUVIS (an R package for biomedical data analysis) and SageNet (a Python package for spatial localization of dissociated single-cell data). Currently, he is interested in developing computational methods for the analysis and integration of spatial omics data at scale.
