Bobby Ranjan | Computational Biologist

I am an interdisciplinary computational biologist with over 7 years of experience in analysing epigenomic and single-cell datasets. My PhD at EMBL Rome focused on microbiome-mediated epigenetic inheritance (using mouse models), complemented by prior work on single-cell ‘omics and cell type identification at the Genome Institute of Singapore. I enjoy sitting at the interface of biology, computation and data science to build robust, reusable analysis workflows aimed at the intelligent use of data generated in the wet-lab or clinic. Outside of work, I enjoy relaxed social evenings, restaurants & bars. I play and watch football, and take every opportunity to go on long drives to a park or water body with my dog.
