Martin Rohbeck | PhD Candidate
I’m a PhD student in Computer Science at Heidelberg University and a predoctoral fellow at the DKFZ. My research interests include causal inference (esp. in dynamical systems of gene regulation), causal representation learning and robust optimization for out-of-distribution problems.
Before my PhD, I worked as an Machine Learning Engineer for QuantCo, where I built data pipelines and models for price optimization and claims modeling, and interned at Mercedes in their autonomous driving research group. I studied Electrical Engineering at RWTH Aachen and spent a year abroad at Imperial College London.
Outside of research, I’m a competitive runner, enjoy playing the piano, and interested in (digital) art, esp. cartography.
